I am excited to have been asked to join the World Day of Prayer (WDP) support team! I believe in the importance of women helping women and have seen the incredible works that happen when people unite in corporate prayer and action.
I have lived in the Kawartha Lakes for nearly 35 years, after growing up in North Toronto. I was fortunate to enjoy a 40-year career in nursing, during which I developed strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills that continue to serve me in all areas of my life. I also place a high value on collaboration and teamwork.
I have been married to my husband, Harold, for 41 years, and we have three married children and two beautiful grandchildren.
I am very active in my church, love to read and knit and have had many a stare as I have been spotted knitting in a beach chair somewhere warm and sunny!
I have been looking for a way to serve the Lord since my retirement, and the Lord drew me to WICC and WDP through literally a total stranger in a hockey arena, who happens to live right down the road, reminding me of Proverbs 3:6.
