World Day of Prayer 2023 Important Reminders

KIDS, CANADA, GRANTS, TV, PRAY NOW – WE HAVE A LITTLE ABOUT A LOT TO SHARE!!!

Coordinators, thank you for taking on a leadership role for WDP!  Your commitment is deeply appreciated.  Please scroll through our World Day of Prayer news below.  There is something for everyone!

  1. Exciting NEWS! Our full-length WDP 2023 – Taiwan service video is now available on wicc.org!  Watch it anytime! To download a version for Zoom services, please log into your service coordinator account for an appropriate format.   2. There will a NATIONAL online WDP 2023 service on Saturday, March 4th at 1 pm EST.   3. Kids Pray Too! Is a WDP 2023 themed video produced for children and youth by the WICC board. It is led by participants from across Canada.  To watch, click on https://wdpcanada.ca/world-day-of-prayer/what-is-wdp/.
  4. Please advertise your services and the WDP 2023 – Taiwan full-service video on church websites, bulletins, weekly newsletters, social media, and community newspapers. Call friends. Reach out to retirement homes and people who are restricting social visits because of COVID-19.  WDP is a great way to learn about how we can support Taiwan with prayers for their concerns.
  5. World Day of Prayer Grant applications are due on March 31st. For grant stories, go to https://wdpcanada.ca/grant-programs/grant-stories/.
  6. We are encouraging WDP donations to be completed online or by sending cheques directly to WICC. For more information, go to https://wdpcanada.ca/donations/. For donations collected at services, please use the offering remittance form and the tax receipt request forms found in the service coordinators resources.
  7. Local TV options for services: please go to https://wdpcanada.ca/get-involved/events/ by mid-February to discover which communities are broadcasting our service video via local television stations.
  8. World Day of Prayer Pray NOW! Podcasts can be found on wicc.org. Go to https://wdpcanada.ca/get-involved/events/ for additional information.
  9. We need WDP 2024 coordinators! Please recruit these individuals if not already established.
