Hello World Day of Prayer Coordinators 2026!

We are excited to soon bring you the World Day of Prayer (WDP) 2026 program which was written by the Nigeria WDP committee. The theme is “I will give you rest: come.” based on Matthew 11, verses 28-30.  Resources will be available online by November 1, 2025.

The World Day of Prayer Coordinator role is important, and we greatly appreciate your help in planning a service and telling others in your community about it.

We are happy to bring you all the information you need to coordinate a service:

1. By November 1, 2025, the WICC website – wdpcanada.ca – will have all the WDP service resources you need. Use your email address to register and gain access to these materials. If you do not have an email address, please ask a friend, relative or church member if theirs can be used to receive WDP information. Need help to register?  Contact your area field rep listed at the bottom of this message. After registering, you will also receive emails with WDP updates and information about special events. Note: if you have registered as a coordinator on our website in the past, you do not need to do it again.
2.  Access information on coordinating WDP at: https://wdpcanada.ca/world-day-of-prayer/how-to-participate/. The Planning Guide will be available by November 1, 2025. This document includes ideas to help prepare for the service.
3. For free Offering Envelopes, please order online at wdpcanada.ca/wicc-store or call or email our office.
4. The 2021 to 2024 videos of a recorded WDP service were so popular that we are making another one for 2026! It has participants from across Canada with closed captioning.
   • You can download the 2026 WDP service video for free after January 15, 2026. OR
   • You can buy a USB memory stick ($25) that includes the service video as well as music from Nigeria, service PowerPoint, and a country background video about Nigeria that you can play during your WDP gathering.  Order online at wdpcanada.ca/wicc-store.  With the USB, you will also receive a paper copy of the worship service, a participant bulletin version, and information on Nigeria. If you order a USB, remember to order Offering envelopes at the same time. The USB and envelopes will be mailed by January 13, 2026, but please order as soon as possible to ensure that an adequate supply of USBs is produced.
5. The WDP Worship Service will be available to you as a computer file when you log in for service resources. The Service is available in English, bilingual (French and English), Spanish, and German.
6. There are many more resources for World Day of Prayer that will be available on our website as of November 1st: posters, music, recipes, hymn suggestions, PowerPoint service and much more. All resources are available to download for free.
7. Returning for 2026! The National Service Location Map.
   World Day of Prayer 2026 service locations in Canada can be shared by coordinators by going to https://wdpcanada.ca/service-locations/
   If you have been a coordinator before, these changes may be new to you:
   • You no longer need a printed order form or service tracking number to order resources – everything is available online or by order of the USB through the WICC store.
   • Get the music for free from our website or order a USB with these resources.
